LawnGrips Expands Footwear Line for Gardeners, Lawn Care Pros; Introduces Three Men’s Models, Two Women’s Models

Specially Created for Lawn Mowing Safety and Comfort:

Less than a year after introducing the industry’s first footwear designed specifically for gardeners and lawn care professionals – a slip-on model for men -- LawnGrips, LLC has added three new LawnGrips™ men’s models and two models for women.

All LawnGrips shoes are made using high-quality materials and construction for longlasting wear, and feature a waterproof, protective toe and the patented Grip-N-Go outsole for superior traction on freshly cut grass. The tread pattern of the Grip-N-Go outsole has specialized, oblique lugs positioned in the forefoot and heel areas that provide great traction for pushing, turning and stopping.  The lugs and centers of the heel and forefoot are slightly rounded to easily shed grass clippings and dirt.

For safety, LawnGrips shoes also are made with a steel toe under the rugged molded rubber toe. Additional features include a composite insole board with polyurethane midsole for comfort and support, waterproof leather and an easy-on/easy-off hook and loop closure system.

The expanded LawnGrips line now includes the original Men’s Classic slip-on model with hook and loop closure, retail priced at $89.95; the Men’s Classic LT, in khaki and black, for those who prefer no steel toe, priced at $85.95; the Men’s Pro, with six-inch lace-up, at $99.95; the Pro8 work boot with eight-inch lace-up for maximum support on uneven terrain, at $119.95; the Women’s Classic slip-on model, at $89.95, and the Women’s Pro with six-inch lace-up, at $99.95.  Men’s shoes are available in whole and half sizes 7 through 11½ plus 12 and 13.  Women’s shoes are available in whole and half sizes 6 through 10½ plus 11 and 12.

In addition to the LawnGrips footwear line – considered the shoe of choice by lawn/garden professionals -- the company has recently introduced three GardenGrips clogs for women, available in moss, indigo and slate and in women’s whole and half sizes 6 through 10½ plus 11 and 12.

“Lawn and garden care is a relaxing hobby for some and a serious profession for others,” says Russell Stark, President and founder of LawnGrips, LLC.  “Both groups want safety and performance from their tools, and their footwear is no exception.

“The idea for LawnGrips,” he adds, came one day when I was pushing around a heavy machine with dangerous cutting blades 12 inches from my feet while wearing a worn out pair of tennis shoes.  Those old shoes offered minimal traction or comfort, and certainly no protection.”

LawnGrips also were developed for the tens of thousands of lawn care professionals who need quality, protective footwear.  “Performance, safety and professionalism are very important to my company," said James Cutrer, CEO of Out-Back Lawnscaping in Austin, Texas. “No one’s ever offered a shoe specifically for lawn mowing before.  Knowing my crew will be safer and have better traction makes using LawnGrips an easy decision to make.  There’s a shoe designed for every purpose these days, and it just makes sense to have one for lawn mowing.”
