LawnGrips introduces the first performance clog for gardeners -- GardenGrips
PORTLAND -- When you want something done right, you ask an expert. Russ Stark, CEO of LawnGrips LLC, asked hundreds of them before launching GardenGrips, his newest line of footwear, which will premier at this month's National Hardware Show and Lawn and Garden World.
"LawnGrips was founded to meet the unique footwear needs of turf and landscape professionals," says Stark. "All performance requirements such as traction, comfort, safety and durability were taken into consideration. Consequently, LawnGrips has become the shoe of choice for groundskeepers, landscapers, mowers, irrigation specialists, and others working in the horticulture industry."
Now, Stark has taken the same formula for performance and comfort and applied it to the needs of the serious gardener. "Before GardenGrips, all garden footwear was made with a one-piece rubber or plastic construction system," Stark notes. "This is an old fashioned method of construction that makes it impossible to provide the benefits unique to GardenGrips which are breathability, cushioning, and arch support." GardenGrips have the characteristic LawnGrips rubber overtoe which keeps feet dry. Unlike most of the LawnGrips line, GardenGrips has a non-steel toe and is a lighter footwear option.
The "grip" in GardenGrips comes from a patented Grip-N-Gotm outsole which is based on a soccer design for maximum traction, even on wet grass. Another important component is the stiff composite shank that holds up to shovel work and makes GardenGrips a comfortable all-day shoe. The clogs will be available in three colors, moss, indigo and slate, in women's sizes 6 through 12 at the end of the month in selected stores, on internet (GardenGrips.com) or by calling toll-free on 1-877-4GRIPS1.
