LawnGrips Introduces First Performance Clog Designed for Avid Women Gardeners
GardenGrips™ Footwear Features Unique Traction, Cushioning, Arch Support:
The company that manufactures LawnGrips, the shoe of choice for landscapers and other lawn/garden professionals, has applied the same formula for performance and comfort to the needs of the serious gardener by introducing the unique new line of GardenGrips™ footwear for women.
According to Russ Stark, CEO of LawnGrips LLC, all performance requirements such as traction, comfort, safety and durability were taken into consideration in designing this first performance clog for avid gardeners.
"Before GardenGrips,” he points out, “all garden footwear was made with a one-piece rubber or plastic construction system. This is an old fashioned method of construction,” he adds, “that makes it impossible to provide the benefits unique to GardenGrips – which are breathability, cushioning, and arch support."
The "grip" in GardenGrips comes from a patented Grip-N-Go™ outsole that is based on a soccer design for maximum traction, even on wet grass. Another important component is the stiff composite shank that holds up to shovel work and makes GardenGrips a comfortable all-day shoe.
The new clog does not have a steel toe as does the LawnGrips line, so it offers a lighter footwear option and has the characteristic LawnGrips rubber overtoe to keep feet dry and comfortable.
Russ Stark also points out that considerable research went into the design of GardenGrips, including an extensive survey of professional and home gardeners. “We wanted to get it right when designing a shoe that offers specific features and benefits to people who spend a considerable amount of time on a wide range of gardening chores,” he concludes.
The new clogs are available in three colors -- moss, indigo and slate – and in women's sizes 6 through 12; men’s sizes 6 through 8.
